Meet our staff and see what we doOperated by the Division of Immigration Health Services (DIHS), our medical team is staffed by a group of caring professionals comprised of USPHS Commissioned Officers and contract support personnel. We provide primary health care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in our 10,000 square foot medical facility. The medical facility includes an ambulatory care clinic with four exam rooms, a dental suite, an urgent care room, a lab, and the medical records area. We also have a 22 bed Short Stay Unit which includes four negative flow respiratory isolation rooms. Located between the SSU and the ambulatory care clinic is our pharmacy which serves both areas. All of our RNs, LVNs, and midlevel providers are trained in the use of our teleradiology unit to conduct screening chest x-rays on all new admissions to the detention center. Once the x-ray has been taken, it is sent electronically to the radiologist and a reading is returned within four hours. Our dedicated medical staff works as a team to provide quality healthcare in support of immigration law enforcement.
